14 Sensational Comic Book Covers
We are in December already usually that would be a bad thing, but the sooner we finish 2020 the better, right?. Never fear, here we have our 14 Sensational Comic Book Covers. As we head towards the festive season the comic book gods are already bearing gifts for us mortals.
There are not one but two big comic book events happening. This week sees the release of the first issue of Batman/Catwoman. Legend Tom King presents the next story in the Bat Cat Romance. Bear in mind that this is the DC’s Black Label which bought us Bruce Wayne’s penis, so expect this to be more adult than normal titles. There is a huge range of covers for this series and some of our favorites for issue #1 are below.
Next up, is King in Black. Our heroes are facing a terror like never before. Knull the god of symbiotes is coming to Earth with hundreds of thousands of symbiote dragons. As usual with marvel, the covers for this event will feature on a number of different titles. Some of the variants for the main title are below.
So here are our 14 Sensational Comic Book Covers.
Cover Artist: Jorge Jimenez
Ghost-Maker is living up to his spectral name as Batman scours Gotham City for any trace of him… but this deadly new vigilante is going to prove a bloody point to the Dark Knight by murdering both Clownhunter and Harley Quinn. That is, unless they kill each other first!

Dune: House Atreides #1 (3rd Printing)
We love this new Dune series and so do plenty of other people. The 1st issue is on it’s 3rd printing already!!
This is not our favourite depiction of a sandworm but it is pretty cool.
Set in the years leading up the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning Dune-which inspired the upcoming feature film from Legendary Pictures- DUNE: HOUSE ATREIDES transports readers to the far future on the desert planet Arrakis where Pardot Kynes seeks its secrets.
Fantastic Four: Road Trip #1 (Del Mundo Variant)
Cover Artist: Mike Del Mundo
This crazy Invisible Woman model kit cover is brilliant.
The Fantastic Four have earned some much-needed time away from the job, and Reed has planned a – well, fantastic – old-fashioned family vacation to the Grand Canyon for some good rest, relaxation and team-bonding time. But Reed’s manic mind can’t quite disengage, and soon an obsessive side experiment he brought with him has all of them experiencing gruesome and terrifying side effects from his strange specimens.

Cover Artists: Ryan Stegman, JP Mayer, Frank Martin
The main cover for the latest Marvel Comic Book event.
After a campaign across the galaxy, Knull’s death march arrives to Earth and, worse yet, he hasn’t come alone! With an army of hundreds of thousands of symbiote dragons at his command, the King in Black is a force unlike any Earth’s heroes have ever faced. Eddie Brock AKA Venom has seen firsthand the chaos that even one of Knull’s symbiotic monsters can wreak – will he survive an encounter with the God of the Abyss himself?
Spy Island #4 (Cover B Miternique)
Cover artist: Lia Miternique
VHS cassettes were a thing when I was a kid so this cover is a very nostalgic.
Super spy Nora Freud is just like the rest of us: fit, stylish, sardonic, devilishly attractive, annoyingly smart, and maybe, possibly, a tiny bit imperfect?
Could Nora’s family baggage be key to identifying the recent fauna agitation in the Bermuda Triangle? Nah. It probably has something to do with the super villain in the underwater sea lab.
The Union #1 (KIB)
Cover Artist: R.B. Silva
The grand unveiling of The Union! A team of super heroes gathered from all over the United Kingdom, featuring Union Jack, Snakes, Kelpie, Choir, and their fearless leader, Brittania!
But when disaster strikes on their first public debut, in the form of the invasion of Empyre, the fledgling team is immediately pushed to their limits!
Walking Dead: Deluxe #4 (Cover A Finch & Mccaig)
Cover artist: David Finch & Dave McCaig
Rick and Glenn mount a daring supply run in a walker-infested Atlanta. Plus, what’s Lori’s secret? This deluxe presentation in STUNNING FULL COLOR also features another installment of Cutting Room Floor and creator commentary.
